Tour My App integration scripts are now available via a CDN
We’re happy to announce that the integration scripts for Tour My App are now available via Amazon’s Cloudfront Content Delivery Network.
What is a Content Delivery Network (CDN)?
A CDN is a system of servers located worldwide to provide a resource. The browser requests the file from the CDN server that is closest to it. So users from Europe will get the file from a server in Europe, users in Japan will get the file from a server in Japan and so on.
What does this mean for Tour My App users?
By making the files available through a CDN,
- Customers using your product will download the integration scripts much faster as it is automatically accessed from the server location nearest to them
- Should tourmyapp.com server go down for some reason, your product will continue to serve the integration scripts from the CDN and there will be no effect on your product
How do I use the CDN version of Tour My App integration?
Take a look at the updated integration documentation to get the new integration code. The old code will still continue to work, and it will be served by tourmyapp.com but you won’t get the improved performance benefits of using the CDN.
